The Celsius Marketing Interactive team hopped on a time machine and traveled back in time to 1450, Peru, to create a historic and interactive museum exhibition microsite. The Machu Picchu landing page was created in partnership with World Heritage Exhibitions for the immersive museum adventure that will transport visitors to the jewel of the only cradle of civilization in the Southern Hemisphere, the Incan city of Machu Picchu.
“Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru” exhibition will be on display at the Boca Raton Museum of Art from October 2021 to March 2022 and will feature over 190 priceless artifacts, including an impressive collection of gold artifacts!
What was the focus?
The team’s focus when creating this page was to both communicate to the audience what they could expect to see at the exhibition and convey the feeling of being in Machu Picchu in person. To do this, we implemented video and imagery to create the mood of being up high in the mountains surrounded by clouds, just as one would be if they hiked up to Machu Picchu!
We asked the lead designer, Henry, for his perspective of the page and what the team was most proud of. He stated that “We’re most proud of being able to combine practical information about the exhibition with beautiful visuals that really give you a sense of place. We pushed the boundaries of the design and that hopefully leads to a memorable user experience.”
