Located in Cape Coral, Florida, Wicked Dolphin Distillery is locally owned and crafts their rum in small batches using the best Florida ingredients. It was our honor to take on this project for a company that does so much for their community.
We asked our Lead Designer on the project, Henry, to weigh in and share some insight into the creative direction taken by him and his team.
Q: If you could describe the site in two adjectives what would they be?
A: Tropical and sleek.
Q: What attribute/s in creating this site were most important for you and the team to capture?
A: Our focus was twofold: focus on Wicked Dolphin’s products allow users to experience the tropical lifestyle associated with Wicked Dolphin.
Q: What high level changes were made to improve the site?
A: We redesigned the site to better align with Wicked Dolphin’s brand identity. They proudly craft small batch spirits using the best Florida ingredients, so we wanted to showcase sentiment. We highlighted the lifestyle aspect of their brand. Finally, we focused on their award-winning products, by creating product pages that allow the users to discover tasting notes and recipes with their favorite Wicked Dolphin products.
Q: What are you and the team most proud of about this new site?
A: We’re really proud of the complete team effort put in to pull this project off. From our video team capturing sensational footage and photography, to the designers who created amazing graphics, to the developers who created custom functionality, and the account executives who collaborated with the client.
